I remember being a young girl & begging my mother for fashion magazines. I don’t think it was so much about fashion, as much as it was a magazine that I could relate too. For my birthday one year, I received a gift subscription to a teen type magazine. Every month I anxiously waited for the magazine to hit the mailbox. When it came it, I instantly read it cover to cover!

Times haven’t changed much, but content sure has. I try an monitor what my daughter reads to ensure that the teen/tween type magazines are age appropriate for my daughter & what she can relate to.

My daughter fiddled with my iPhone to create her own Magazine cover. It takes minutes to use & the photos can be saved to your albums, email to any account, or can be email to Discovery Girls where they can be uploaded to their Covers Made By You section.

Wordless Wednesday – Beauty Product Hoarder

I should be ashamed of myself!

The picture above is my tween daughter’s nail polish bin. I snapped a quick picture to illustrate that she doesn’t “need” anymore nail polish, but in retrospect, the picture is making me feel inadequate about my parenting skills.

How much nail polish does this “almost” 12 year old need? I’m not going to beat myself up over it. When in Rome….get a pedicure by the tween daughter.

Want Smooth Legs? Philips Satin Perfect Epilator Product Review

If your like me, you know that shaving your legs is a definite chore but it’s also a necessity as well. Who wants to spend all that time & energy doing the same old boring routine?

Recently, I was able to try Philips Satin Perfect Epilator. I’m always ready to try new products that can make my life easier, especially shaving!! Until now, I have never used an epilator. Frankly, I was a little nervous about this experiment. I kept it in the box for a few days after I received the package and finally had my husband tried it out first. I thought, if he could use it, I most certainly can!!

What I liked:
-All the extra parts & accessories the package came with! It came with Satin Perfect Deluxe Epilator, combs, illuminating smart tweezers, cleaning brushes, saving head, a charger, active hair lifter,trimmer comb in a nice storage pouch and more.

-The design allows you to use it on your legs & body and other parts.

- You can use the Epilator on sensitive areas that are hard to reach like ankles knees, you can even use it on your eyebrows (I was nervous so I just did a test run there)!!

-The opti-light allows you to use on fine hairs.

What I didn’t care for:
-You need to charge the epilator for about 40 minutes prior hair removal.

-The first time you use it, you will feel slight discomfort. But it is more like a sensation versus pain.

-Cleaning the epilator is tedious …but the cleaning comb allows you to get any stray hairs left in the machine fairly easy.

Overall View:
It takes just a few minutes to use the product but I can already see positive results. I have been using it for a few weeks and my legs stay smooth for about 3 weeks or so. That is a huge difference for my legs vs. shaving or using the depilatory creams!! If you think it’s something you might be interested, give it a shot. Your legs will be glad to say goodbye to Winter and hello to Spring!

Fekkai Technician® Color Care Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Being a Bulk Buyer means I am not necessarily Brand loyal for certain items. In fact, I have only used 2 different types of Shampoo & Conditioner for the past 2+ years (which I purchased for free w/coupons). ~ I have mixed a few bottles/sample packs here and there, but for the most part, have stuck to my stockpile.

I was recently sent a few bottles of Fekkai Technician® Color Care Shampoo & Conditioner. After 2 weeks of use, my favorite part is the scent. Apricot, avocado, calendula, and peach give it a great scent and supposedly adds moisture to my hair.

Fekkai Technician Color Care is formulated for Dry, Damaged, Color-Treated Hair. since I have been coloring/highlighting my hair since I can remember, I did feel like I was getting a salon quality wash.

I thought the shampoo & conditioner set was good quality, but the price is out of my price range. You can find these products for $23.99 at your local CVS or other drug stores. That being said, it is not a product that I could afford to purchase again. I didn’t like it THAT much to even consider it, especially for only 8oz.

I also received several sample packets of the Fekkai Brilliant Glossing™ Cream which I LOVED!!! The Glossing Cream is also $23.99 for 4oz. If I could get it a little cheaper I would definatly consider it.
