*Update* I checked my bill to find out exactly how long it too to get my bonus. I did the last promotion on 2/12, received my first text a few minutes after, and the next day on 2/13 @5:50am received a text for my final confirmation. My bill reflected that on Feb-March 2011 I had 62 roll over minutes. My March-April 2011 bill had my bonus 1000 roll over minutes reflected. Just saw that Abrecrombie is now selling padded bras that are geared for a 7 year old?!?!?

I’m not one of these uptight Mom’s & have always felt that we should pick their battles, but this takes the cake. You won’t find me purchasing these for my 10 year old.

But I also look at the bigger picture. Why would a 7 or 8 year old even need these?? Who is to blame? Society? Fashion? Television?? Hollywood? Instead of blaming someone, why don’t we just encourge our girls to make safe & smart decisions. My daughter isn’t perfect, but when I go shopping with her we talk about what is appropriate to our family. She knows what is flattering and within the spectrum of our her parents approval.

Abrecrombie won’t be taking any of my money anytime soon, but if it gets a family to talk about what is appropriate and set some guidelines, then positive can come from this subject.

I have been a Girl Scout Leader for 5 years now. Every year we participate in our local Relay for Life event. Cancer is something that effects everyone. I doin’t know 1 person who hasn’t lost a loved one due to Cancer.

Our local community has recently opened the doors of a new SMH Regional Cancer Center ad the building is beauitful. as a Relay for Life team member I feel so proud that in a small way we are all responsible for this building that will hopefully provide so much support and benefit to our local Cancer patients.

Our Relay for Life team Krewe of Hope has been in full force. Our relay event will be held April 30th and we are looking forward to another great year. This year our children’s school has allowed our Girl Scout troop to raise funds through a Blue Jean Day. Last friday for 1 day, a child was allowed to bring $1.00 to wear blue jeans versus the normal uniform bottom. Our troops raised almost $200 on that 1 event.

The moeny we raised will be used to purchase food items that we are not able to get donated, at this years event. We will be selling BBQ Chicken/ Hamburgers, chips, and drinks.

We also just enrolled in a Dosomething.com Club where we can possibly win grants for this years and enver years event. We are realy hoping we can recieve some sort of grant. We all can make a difference, 1 person at a time!

If your like me, you’ve been using CoverGirl for years! Maybe even decades (yikes)!!! I remember as a young teen saving my money all summer just to purchase the right back to school look, or saving for that special outfit out with my friend. Makeup is one thing I didn’t have much money to spend but CoverGirl has always been affordable, long lasting, and dependable.

My daughter is almost 11 years old, and while she does not use makeup for everyday use. she does on occasion use some during concert performances, pictures etc. We use makeup very little on her but since her skin tone is a shade or two different than mine, I have some makeup that is used by solely my daughter for that purpose.

My colors that were sent to me were Sweetheart & Spellbound. Now keep in mind, these were not my “right shade” so I was grateful it was perfect for my daughter. I did try the product out several times at home and to a few events and found that it was long lasting and went on so smooth!

I love the design of the tube and am going to use a few of the coupons to get my perfect shade. My favorite part about the lipstick is that my lips really did feel smoother after using the lipstick for a week. I actually started blending my new colors with my older colors and found a perfect match to my skin , all while help my lips stay full of moisture even while the cold weather is still with us.
